Program Description: Collaborative learning sessions focused on TESOL teaching methodologies and current trends. This course is for international instructors and administrators who currently work in the education field and wish to gain a deeper understanding of best practices, trends, and support in teaching English to speakers of other languages. The program includes a variety of sessions for English teachers who wish to improve their skills and learn from staff who have Master’s Degrees in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). The program is composed of 4 parts.

 

Part 1. Intensive English Program (IEP) (22.5 Hours Per Week)
 

Classes will focus on accent, pronunciation, and fluidity among other things. They are accredited by CEA and may include computerized language lab time.  This will give experienced English teachers more exposure to American lexicon in order to inspire their students. Native English speakers will be part of a special class.

 

Part 2. A program (10 Hours Per Week) to help English as a Foreign       

              Language (EFL) teachers meet the needs of EFL learners in the   

              21st century by :

• Enhancing and energizing teaching skills with communicative approaches

• Exploring the applications of instructional technology to the language classroom

• Strengthening oral English skills for instructors

• Deepening understanding of the connection between culture and language in North America

• Discussing current research in Second Language Acquisition

• Lesson Planning Workshop, Teacher/Classroom Observations, Curriculum Development, Teaching Academic Writing and more

• US Higher Education System

Part 3. Enriching Experiences by Visiting Places That Can Only Be Found   

              in Florida.

Land in Miami, Florida  for a city tour that includes a South Beach stop and head to Orlando in the afternoon. The calendar of activities includes visits to Florida universities, Kennedy Space Center (NASA), the Dali Museum in Tampa, Florida, Indoor Skydiving, Top-Golf Experience, nightlife, and shopping, and many one of a kind experience.

Part 4. A Complete Disney World Vacation - During the 50th Anniversary!
