Rules & Code of Conduct

A safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for every student.

  4. Rule 4: Respect for Diversity

All cultures, religions, and backgrounds must be respected. Bullying, intimidation, harassment, and discrimination are strictly prohibited.

  5. Rule 5: Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking & Vaping

Possession, purchase, or use of alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, or vaping products is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate dismissal and parent notification.

Students must follow staff instructions and all safety rules during classes, transportation, excursions, and activities.

  8. Rule 8: Personal Devices & Responsible Technology Use

Electronic devices may be used during permitted free time but must not disrupt activities or quiet hours. Students must respect others’ privacy when taking photos, recording, or sharing content.

  9. Rule 9: Visitors & Family Visits

All visits require advance KEF USA approval and must occur in designated areas during authorized hours. Leaving KEF USA supervision with visitors requires prior written parent or guardian permission and staff approval.

  10. Rule 10: Personal Belongings

Students are responsible for their belongings and should avoid bringing valuables. KEF USA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property except where required by law.

Sexual harassment, inappropriate sexual comments or gestures, unwanted touching, intimidation, and sexual abuse are strictly prohibited, whether involving students, staff, or others. Students should immediately report concerns to a trusted staff member, program director, or appropriate authorities. If a concern involves a staff member, students may report it to another trusted adult or directly to the appropriate authorities. Reports will be taken seriously and handled with appropriate privacy protections. Suspected abuse will be reported as required by law, and retaliation is prohibited.

  14. Rule 14: Respect for Privacy & Personal Space

Students must respect others’ privacy in bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces. Unauthorized room entry, photography or recording in private areas, and inappropriate physical behavior are prohibited.

Minor violations will generally receive reminders or warnings. Repeated or serious violations may result in restrictions, parent notification, or dismissal. If dismissed, parents or guardians are responsible for arranging and paying for early departure, subject to applicable law and enrollment terms. KEF USA will maintain appropriate supervision until the student is safely transferred to an authorized adult or approved travel arrangement.
