Program Overview: KEF Medical English Program KMEP-1  (120 hours total) designed for university students and professionals in the medical field who need to communicate clearly and accurately while maintaining tact and sensitivity. As a result of taking this course, students will be able to enhance their English proficiency. In addition, they will gain a deeper understanding of specialist terminology used by the medical community in English. There are two parts to the program.

Part 1. Intensive English Program (IEP) (20 Hours Per Week)

With a supportive teaching staff, highly qualified instructors who have master's degrees in TESOL, and state-of-the-art facilities, students will learn about accents, pronunciation, and fluidity.  The program is accredited by CEA.

 

Part 2. Workshops Focusing on Medical Terminology (10+ Hours Per Week)

​

• Improve the process of assessing patients, performing medical examinations, and collecting accurate medical histories 

• Write prescriptions and notes with confidence. The same applies when discussing symptoms and diagnoses

• The students will be prepared to give presentations using key terminology and language functions specific to medical English

• Develop ways of communicating with patients and reassuring them

• Make use of the most recent 3D animation technology in English and the student's native language
