Our KEF Film Camp is designed for campers to enjoy learning, discovery, and adventure. With this in mind, we have designed a 4-week action-packed program encouraging them to use their imagination at every moment. Join us in the most magical place on earth, Orlando, Florida, for all the exhilarating fun that only this city can offer.

Week1: Animation for Teens: Visual Storytelling and Character Design

 

This course teaches students how to visually develop a story and create/develop characters for the entertainment industry. Students will be using a combination of traditional and digital mediums to complete projects. The course will be run at a college level and will give students the opportunity to experience what it is like to work in a professional art studio. The class will cover drawing and developing character anatomy, how to construct and develop a story, visual storytelling, storyboarding, character design, color theory, and environmental design.

Week 2:  Acting Studio

This camp is perfect for actors of all levels. Students will learn audition techniques, script analysis, character development, ensemble work, improvisation, and much more in this acting teen intensive. Actors will rehearse and produce a one-act play that will be performed for family and friends on the final day of camp.

Week 3: DSLR Filmmaking

​

In this one of a kind experience, students work on producing film festival quality films. Immerse yourself in the world of DSLR movie making as you use professional cameras, sound gear, and editing software to produce your own short film, trailer and behind the scenes documentary - all in one week.

Week 4: Teen Filmmaker

​

A beginner program that takes students behind the scenes as they learn how to produce their own short films and master the art of visual storytelling. We introduce carefully designed challenges to inspire students as they learn to direct, operate camera and sound and finally edit their own work: turning summer fun into movies that they’ll keep forever.
